Toledo, OH (June 18th, 2024) - Another week on the road for KHFC and another point. A really scrappy and emotional game where KHFC fought with everything they had against Toledo Villa FC.

The game started off sluggish with the sweltering heat but as the sun went down and the players cooled off the intensity picked up. In the 17th minute, Toledo is given a yellow, and Kings Hammer FC follows up in the 27th minute with a shot on goal that was blocked by Toledo's keeper Doppleholev. At the 30th minute, there was a water break so the players could cool down, but right after the match heated up. 1 minute coming back from the break King Hammer’s Douglas Fajardo is given a yellow card warning. In the 42nd minute, Jack Moxom makes a brilliant diving save. Back-to-back yellow cards were given, one in the 44th minute to KHFC’s David Garcia and the second one to Fajardo in the 45th making it his second yellow of the match getting him ejected from the pitch. The half ended with a score of 0-0 after 4 minutes of added time.

Coming back into the second half, Kings Hammer FC were determined to win it despite being a man down. The game did not cool off one bit and a yellow card was given to KHFC’s Brock Kiper in the 49th minute, but then he proceeded to get fouled in the goalie box giving KHFC a penalty. Kiper took the kick, giving the team their first goal of the match and a 1-0 lead. Caleb Frakes fouled a Villa player in the 53rd minute in the box and Villa was also given a penalty.  It was blocked by Kings Hammer’s Jack Moxom with an absolutely beautiful dive. At the same time, KHFC’s bench was awarded a yellow card.

The game proceeds to be incredibly chippy with two yellows given to Toledo, one to Haskins in the 57th, and another one to Jonke in the 87th minute. A yellow was also given to KHFC’s Nate Mefford in the 53rd. In the 90th minute, a goal is scored by Toledo Villa FC equalizing the game. In the end, after 7 minutes of added time, KHFC draws against TVFC. An incredibly hard-fought game where the Hammers gave it their all, ended in a draw.
